| Lifestyle changes will no longer allow the time to rebuild a boat to sail. No luck trying to sell Hull 75, so I'm considering parting it out, but need input as to what the individual parts may bring. This is a fresh water boat with no corrosion issues. This was apparently a lightly sailed boat that hasn't been in the water for more than 10 years. Every part is straight and clean. Rudder, tiller, railings, hatches, mast, and fittings are all in good to excellent condition. Two complete sets of obviously old but serviceable sails. I completely rebuilt the single axel Harcar trailer for the trip from Michigan to Florida. New bearings, springs, tires, pads, and the like. Any ideas of what the going value may be on the individual pieces would be appreciated. Call Randy @ 305-515-0263, or e-mail me. Thanks all. |

Where have you advertised it except for here? Try craigslist, local newspapers, sailing anarchy. There are lots of people out there searching for project boats it just takes time to find them.
I bought a "parts boat" a year and a half ago. This would be the basic breakdown that I used based on boats I had looked at in the past and what had been sold on the old forums.
Hull (complete with original or near original hardware) $500 (add a couple hundred if bulkhead and vermiculite have been replaced already) Mast $1000 Trailer (assuming roadworthy) $1200-$2000 Old style Hatch covers $20each Pushpit or Pulpit $50each
basically everything else is worthless including really old sails, rigging, blocks, etc.
The easy part to sell will be the trailer, used ones dont sell often and when they do they sell fast. Masts are also failrly easy but you usually need to find a local buyer because of transportation issues, shipping masts is expensive. If you sell the trailer without the hull it will be much harder to sell the hull.
Also keep in mind selling peice by piece ends up being a lot of work to coordinate, pack and ship.
Good luck. |

Randy, I am looking for a J24 trailer in reasonable shape. Are you interested in selling the trailer only? What are you asking for just the trailer or the trailer and boat? I can be reached at 804 462-0022 |

Hi randy I 'm very much interested in the stren pushpit and pulpit because I need to replace them on my J24 JBI 3615 from 83. Need to check whether the parts are actually the same I'm in Paris France but would of course pay the extra shipment costs Regards patrick NANTOIS 33 6 80 43 46 23 |

| Thanks all for the interest and information, but it doesn't look like it will be worth while to part out the boat. It is still for sale however, complete with trailer for $3500. freezencold@myway.com or 305-515-0263 Thanks again, Randy. |
