I need some advice on the correct placement of my Compukeel Templates. I have ground the trailing edge of the keel to the maximum forward position. The Templates have a Class Rule measurement for positioning the height at each of the six Sections and it also has an "Offset" measurement for each Section that is approximately 3/4" lower down the keel. By using the lower "Offset" measurements it will allow me to add to the front of the keel.
Do I use the "Offset" lower measurements on each of the six Sections? I have read (Stuart Jardine) stating a Nelson Marek study showed that Section 4 Should be offset, but no mention of the others.
What is the correct placement for a boat that will be sailing in mostly in wind ranging from 4-11 knots of breeze and slight chop?
Thanks for helping a do it yourselfer...
