Removed halyards in the fall and replaced with messengers. Now spinnaker halyard will not feed back in. It seems to go over the visible sheave but hits something within a inch or two beyond that. The messenger when tied to itself will not let the knot pass either. Any thoughts before I take down the rig.

have you tried electrician's fishing tape?

used rigging tape. are there 2 sheaves for the spinaker and 1 each for the jib?

Me thinks one for the spi halyard, one for the spi boom topping lift...

Yes the spin has 2 sheaves, the jib has 1. Make sure main halyard is eased in case it is interfering. Else your messenger line has jumped the aft sheave - go up the mast with a bit of wire to sort out.

Nail on the head...... Messenger was off of the aft sheave and it took going up the mast to peek in and lift it back on the sheave. Thanks
