I am having issues tacking the genoa while cross sheeting to the windward winch. I set up the windward sheet before the tack (1-2 wraps) and then every time I release during the tack it gets fouled around the winch of the new sheet. Any ideas???

Do not place any wraps around the new winch before the tack. Instead, grab the new sheet at the block with your outside hand and hold the loaded sheet with the inside hand. When the genoa backwinds slightly, pull straight up on the old sheet to remove it from the winch and drag the new sheet across to the new windward winch, place a half wrap, pull fast with both hands and fall to leeward to get the final few feet when it starts to load up. Set final trim using your feet if wind permits or get two more wraps and have the helm grind while you tail from the new windward rail.
