What's the concensus out there on whether dyform is worth the extra expense over standard rigging?

My guess it would have to be one hell of a blow to make a difference, in which case I would be heading for the Tiki Bar!

I have found it to be a litle more precise when tuning, seems like there is a difference. On the other hand it seems to be a bit more brutal on sails and sheets, it seems to "pick" at them. My net opinion is for shrouds it's worth it, I never really thought that it mattered much for the headstay or backstay.

i just buy all my standing rigging and i bought standard rigging because in peru, at lima the place where we mainly sail, is a light wind place. 10 to 15 knots so i prefer to have the standard rigging because they are lighter than the dyform.
