Hi Folks- Brand new j24 owner. Bought it from a guy in seattle that only owned it a for a year or so. I need some help figuring out the hull id number though. Haven't found a reference online anywhere.
It reads:
PSL023681180-J24
Anybody able to decode it for me?
Thanks!

Thanks-That's what I was thinking too... but what manufacturer is that? I'm new to the scene, is PSL a common company that built these?
Thanks again-
Josh

PSL stood for Performance Sailcraft in San Rafael. They were the West Coast Laser builder/ distributer. During the building hayday of the J24 they were also the west coast builder for it.

Interestingly enough, I have PSL023661180J24.
Your boat was fabricated shortly after mine. I agree with Ferenc in that your sail # is 2368 and manufacture date is 11/80 (same month as mine).

I'm new to sailing and J24 world. I bought a J24 here in Okinawa, Japan and I can't figure out the hull number.
On the transom there is a number embedded it reads: NJ243560
Does that mean it was manufactured by Nissan and is Hull #3560?
I have no idea what year it was made. Here's another number a sticker on the inside of the transom: JP-MLIT0016794A
Does this it mean it was manufactured in 2000 or 1994?
Thanks for any help.

The builder put the boat id numbers in two places. One that you have found which is on the transom. The other is under the step into the companionway. Here in the US with Tilson manufactured boats or licensed (all of the other email above) that is where the hull id numbers are.
I would like to hear what you find out.
Best of luck and fair winds,
