A proposal has been received to change class rule 2.6.1 a) to increase the number of advertisers allowed on the boat. At this point the new number (currently 3) has not been proposed but will evolve from the discussion to follow.

The class decides the number of advertisers permitted per boat under ISAF Regulation 20, and includes the result in the class rules.

The proposal is from Augusto Nicolini PER-JCA. His rationale in his words is:
" I consider myself a young sailor and I see the problem to afford the cost of sailing, on most of young sailors. At least to compete with good sails or competitive staff which older people can affrod but not young sailors, and sponsorships sometimes are not that good at least in countries like mine, so you need to collect from lot of sponsors to pay the year."

Please add your comments to the discussion.

This will be voted on at the 2008 World Council Meeting in Oct. 2008

i dont think that having more advertisers would make a boat faster or slower. it wont make any diference on the performance of tha boat. but it would allow to everyone to have the correct equipment, so that can be as competitive as others.
