PROPOSAL:
Delete all and replace with consolidated Rule 9.1.1 as follows:
World and Continental Championships shall be conducted in accordance with the Regatta Regulations of the IJCA.

CURRENT POSITION:
9.1 The International Jury shall consist of a chairman and four other members. The jury shall be comprised of members of at least three nationalities.

9.1.1 The chief judge and two of the jurors shall be approved by the IJCA Executive Committee.

9.1.1 The Event Chief Measurer shall be the Chairman of the IJCA Technical Committee or the person so designated by the Technical Committee.

REASON:
1) To remove duplication in the Class Rules and the RRS.
2) To apply the full scope of the IJCA Regatta Regulations to the management and conduct of J/24 World and Continental Championships.

COMMENTS:
Recommended by the Technical Committee

NOTE:
The Regatta Regulations may be found under Organization -> Class Documents -> Rules

My response is on behalf of 12 of the 23 polled Lake George - Fleet 24 members. The majority response is . . . to accept the rule proposal. Discussion: Agree with the Technical Committee.
