Kieler Woche Belongs to Mike Ingham

Twenty-seven J/24s enjoyed 11 races at Kieler Woche in north Germany. American Mike Ingham dominated the fleet and was able take a DNS in the final race to end with 25 net points. With crew Max Holzer, Marianne Schoke, Quinn Schwenker and Justin Justin, the team nailed four bullets and kept their counting scores in the top six overall. Germans Stefan Karsunke (29 net points) and former World Champion Daniel Frost (34 net points) rounded out the top three. The first half is all about the international classes and is mostly about keen amateur sailors competing against each other. The second half of the regatta focuses on Olympic fleets. Across the whole nine days, Kieler Woche hosts more than 4,000 sailors from 60 nations, competing in more than 1,900 boats.
