The J/24 has once again been chosen as one of a select few sailing classes to participate in the Pan American Games to be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in July, 2007. Based on our strong performance at the recent J/24 North American Championship, the U.S. has qualified to compete in the Games. To fill the available berth, the U.S. Olympic Committee, US SAILING and the U.S. J/24 Class have set up a trials qualification system to be held on February 18-21, 2007 at the Davis Island Yacht Club in Tampa, Florida.

Please note that the format of this event is:
- 4-person teams (all sailors must be U.S. citizens);
- Maximum crew weight of 320Kg;
- Only Class legal 100% jibs will be used (no genoas.)
